A passion to “keep it simple” is the driving force behind the innovative teaching tools and techniques created and employed by Darlene Petersen in presenting complex critical care concepts to nurses all along the learning continuum.
Many of these creative teaching strategies have been featured at national nursing and multidisciplinary conferences including the American Association of Critical Care Nurses National Teaching Institute, Trends in Cardiovascular and Trauma Nursing,
and NPEI’s Critical Care Update.
A sense of humor, an ability to look at things and see what others cannot, and her energized teaching style make her presentations unique and her audiences demanding more. Twenty plus years of experience envelope the roles of clinician, consultant, educator, manager, and businesswoman. Never far from the bedside, she embraces patients, families and caretakers alike.
As Founder -President of The Learning Curve, Darlene delights in sharing her unique teaching strategies and tools with other professionals in an effort to promote learning in the classroom setting and at the bedside.
